Up and Personal with MRSA

Most Recent Outbreak

The most recent outbreak on MRSA that I can find was March 31, 2006. The article was called, "Highlights from MMWR: Outbreaks of MRSA infection in Newborns" by Yael Wakine. This was located in Chicago, Illinois and Los Angeles, California.  The infections affect full-term newborn babies and affected 22 infants. 41% of the babies had to hopitalized and had to act aggressive on the infants MRSA infections because the new but weak immune systems. The infection was tested and came to be a CA-MRSA infection and the tranmission was happened in the hospital's nursey room. It came to a conclusion  that the caretakers was not washing their hands frequently and properly which caused a out break then these places.
